On March 26, our 7th and 8th grade students received virtual presentations from EdSouth.  They were given the ability to take career assessments and information about high school transition and how to find colleges to fit career goals.

The EdSouth website offers multiple resources for students and families including: ecampus tours of colleges, financial literacy information and more.  Check them out at Edsouth.org

Our 8th grade students received a presentation focused on transitioning into high school. Here is a link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIxv_Lgql0Q

Our 7th grade students' presentation focused on using the College and Career Planning system.  Here is a link to the video:  zoom_1.mp4

To create accounts for career planning, students need to go to www.planningyourdreams.org

The Tennessee College and Career Planning System powered by Kuder ® steps students through learning about themselves, exploring career options, making a plan for education, preparing for the world of work, and more.
The school activation code is N6296389WFB. The assessments are free until June 30, 2021 but the portfolio is free for a lifetime if you log in once a year to keep it active.

We are in need of reward program donations.
We are a large school and these rewards mean so much to our students.
If you would like to donate to our WMS Wagon Rewards Program these are the items needed...Individually wrapped candy/candy bars/suckers/”little debbie type” cakes/breakfast bars/cookies/juice boxes/fun, school appropriate novelty items/bottled water
You can bring them to our front office anytime.  Let them know it’s for the WMS Wagon.
Thank you so very much in advance!!!

MEALS

If you or anyone you know has a child/children in need of breakfast or lunch (under the age of 18), they can come to the parking lot behind the cafeteria to pick up meals between 9 and 12.  This does not have to be a Whitthorne student; any child can receive.

If you need information about receiving food bags or other family resources, please go to the Parent & Students tab on our website and click on Family Resource Center.
